[ Oh hello. It's the Professor. He's still not looking too great. Still a bit thin and sleep-deprived, but better than when he arrived. ]

Hello. A few things to address here. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Byleth Eisner. Many simply call me Professor as that was my previous profession in life.

To those of you who do know me- if those of you from Fodlan would report in. I need to get a count of all those present.

Dimitri and I have located a place that we may settle foe the time being. It's a large family house, it seems. There is much work to be done, and I intend to do that the traditional way as much as I can. That said, anyone who would like to may come stay with us. You do not have to have be from Fodlan. There are several bedrooms, but I ask that you please assist in the repair.

There are several other houses around here as well, if anyone wants their own space, I can't speak for the condition of them, but they look similar to this one. These are all near a series of ponds and a lake. I will include the location in this message.

On to the second matter.

I understand that this place wants us to engage in intimacy with the interest of "improving" our lives here. I am not unfamiliar with this notion, it was similar to the island I was on previously, though it appears to be less demanding at the very least.

That said, I am willing to entertain such activities, but with the caveat that you want to. Not simply to obtain something, but rather that you would simply enjoy doing that with me and would not harbor any regrets.

I am not interested in being used, but I am open to the idea of intimacy for intimacy's sake.

The idea that there might be more than one of these sex islands out there is pretty horrifying.

[ Even though they're apparently in such a place now, it seems...nicer than what Lorenz had described to him. He doesn't even know the half of what that place was like, though.

Well...nothing, I guess. What is that they say? No time like the present? You really must have been through some things to be so straightforward about it, but I've always liked that you don't beat around the bush about things.

I won't. Being in the company of many of my friends again does do well for the motivation.

Ah... yes. I did not enjoy my time there, to say the least. I am wary of this place as well, as it seems to have similar intent, though there is far less aphrodisiac at play, at least from what I have seen. Don't let your guard down though.

[ Well he's committed to the bit now. ]

Mmm, a bit yes, but I never really took quite the same aversion to the subject of sex like many citizens of Fodlan, given my upbringing. Though I am quite serious about wanting it to be out of simple desire and not other motivation or influence.

Yeah, people from Fódlan can be pretty repressed about it, that's for sure.

[ He's not 100% sure about the timeline thing, what Byleth does and doesn't know about him, but he remembers mentioning to Byleth once that he's from Almyra. If Byleth doesn't know he's the king, that's fine. Seems irrelevant. But don't most people know he's not entirely from Fódlan by now? Ah well. He'd be more careful about that with someone else. ]

Don't worry about lack of, uh, desire. I'm pretty sure there's no aphrodisiac to worry about. That cake sure had something going on, but it's long out of my system.

[ Guess he's going to go see the Peacekeeper about wine for real now! If he was originally bluffing about this, he isn't now. ]

Red it is. You got a nice room in that house of yours, or am I going scouting for somewhere with suitable atmosphere?

[ He offers a characteristic wink, unable to resist. ]

Hmm. So you actually... are attracted to me then? You're not actually joking are you?

[ One last little question, because he's been through the wringer of insecurity island. It's not that he doesn't trust Claude, it's that he's had a hard time trusting anything good for a while. ]

Outdoors is better for now I think. The houses need... work.

[ Ugh, no, outright asking him to admit something close to A Feeling? The worst. But this seems important not to tease about, so he gives a straight answer for once. ]

Of course I mean it. No jokes, no weird cake influence.

I'm sure there's a way to make even outside at least a little romantic. This Peacekeeper sure needs to learn a thing or two about ambience if it really wants us to do this on the regular, though.

Oh... well. That's- huh. I'm pleasantly surprised. Are you sure?

[ He seems a little more surprised than he should be, honestly. There's something going on there. ]

Outside can be romantic. You know there's the lake there and that's lovely, and there's been flowers starting to bloom too...

Surprised, really?

[ it's Claude's turn to be surprised at that. But he has no idea what's transpired since he last saw Byleth. It hasn't been that long for Claude, but he didn't spend too much time travelling with Dimitri and Byleth and everyone either. His old crush on the professor probably just seemed like an act or whatever.

Actually, he's not even sure what series of events Byleth remembers before he got stuck on sex island! This is complicated.

Claude is sure there's something he's missing, too. That second-guessing thing has him wondering what the source of Byleth's uncertainty is. He'll press that another time for sure.

For now, he just plasters a smile back on like always. But it's a soft one; he means it. ]

I'm sure. But this goes both ways, y'know. You're here selflessly offering like it's no big deal, but I don’t wanna do anything you aren't into, either.

I did notice the flowers. It's an attempt, I'll admit. I like to be warm, though.

[ If that's a little suggestive, wellll, who can blame him? ]

Ah- well. Trust me. I want to. I'm just a bit- ahh. The island I was on before... it put me in some unfortunate situations.

My concerns lay with being wanted at all.

[ He huffs, because he feels his chest tighten. ]

You can wear my overcoat if you'd like.

[ Claude isn't sure how to respond to that for a second, which is pretty rare. He usually has an immediate comeback for everything, after all. He's aware on some level that he's not the only person in their world that would probably get in Byleth's pants given the offer (and…Byleth literally just offered??? Hello?). Surely that would be true in another world? ]

The island you were on before where this Augur thing expected...?

[ That makes even less sense. People didn't want to get down on sex island?! W h a t ]

Well. I'm sorry for whatever you've been through that made you have to second-guess yourself that way.

[ Finally, a true statement. ]

That place sounds like a special kind of hell. This one doesn't seem great, and I'm not gonna put words in anyone else's mouth or anything, but I stand by what I said. You extra deserve it if you don't believe someone would want you.

[ As if Mr. Refuses To Have Feelings knows a damn thing about real romance, but that is not the point.

At least he can grin again at that offer. ]

Ah. It is what it is. It's not as though I haven't been through worse.

I did suspect that it was a kind of hell, or at least punishment. I suppose it may very well have been, if we truly are dead.

Which is frustrating.
